👨🏼‍🌾 Champagne made by Clément Leclere Minard.

A Pinot Meunier from old vines planted in 1969, resulting in a small production of barely 600 bottles. This zero dosage wine is of fabulous complexity and exceptional length, with the Meunier showing great nobility from the attack to the finish. Don’t hesitate to serve it in a larger wine glass, even if it means losing a bit of its bubbles, as it will amplify the aromatic range, which evolves from seed fruits to more indulgent notes of red berries.

Clément Leclere is based in Coulomme la Montagne. After working with Julien Guillot and David Léclapart (no less!), Clément decides to take over a few hectares of family vines in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. The first obvious choice will be to manage his vines organically, even if a first vintage will give him a hard time and force him to postpone his conversion by a year. He cultivates Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Clément Leclere is setting up in the Coulomme cooperative winery. For him, as for other winegrowers in the village, it is about returning to the fundamentals of Champagne cooperative wineries. Not mixing grapes from one and the other, but sharing tools to produce wines that are unique and specific to the different cooperators. Thus, Clément benefits from a more than comfortable setting in which to produce his wine. Trained in a good school, Clément carefully selects the pressed fractions of his juices, then lets them ferment in indigenous yeasts. The aging then continues in oak barrels, both for the clear wines and for the coteaux champenois. Clément's work is today scrutinized by lovers of winemaker champagnes, and we quickly understand why when tasting...

Who are we ?

Created in 2010, Vinograf was taken over in July 2024 by Clara & Baptiste. With their experience with Marée Haute, they work to perpetuate Vinograf's strong commitments: a careful selection of established or novice artisan winemakers, all driven by the concern for excellence in their practices, in the magnification of terroirs and the search for authenticity of taste.

Several specifications correspond to these names. If we very often hear about sulphites, rightly accused of giving a headache, many other products can be used in the composition of so-called conventional wines.
Here is an overview of the different organic, biodynamic and natural specifications:
The organic specifications (AB label) prohibit any use of synthetic chemicals in the vineyards and in the winery. However, it allows some oenological crutches during winemaking. Sulfites, for example, are tolerated up to 100 mg/L for red wines and 150 mg/L for whites.

In biodynamics (Demeter or Biodyvin label), the winemaker not only works without synthetic chemicals, but also takes into account the lunar calendar for all the operations he carries out. He will also use biodynamic preparations (fermented horn dung, silica, plant herbal tea, etc.) to strengthen the vines. Overall, the winegrower seeks to include the cultivation of the vine in a global environment. Sulphites can go up to 70 mg/L for reds and 90 mg/L for whites.

In natural wine (Vin Method Nature label), the specifications specify the use of organic grapes, fermenting naturally using native yeasts (as in biodynamics). Natural wines see no input during all vinification and aging. Only minimum doses of SO2 are permitted (30 mg/L maximum), and must be mentioned by the winemaker. No brutal filtration or wine alteration techniques are permitted. We also find the name SAINS Wines which aims to completely prohibit the use of sulphites.

We strive to offer you wines from artisan wines, from estates on a human scale and often family-owned. And that's why we take the time to travel across France from vineyard to vineyard in search of these natural wines that thrill us.
We are particularly keen to introduce you to the new winegrowers of tomorrow who work tirelessly to offer us magnificent wines.
We want to highlight them, and allow them to have greater, clearer visibility and wish to accompany them to you!

Nothing could be simpler, call us! 06 47 92 11 15 or via contact@vinograf.fr.
