Fiona Leroy
Fiona Leroy launched herself and created her estate in 2017 in the Maranges . Half perched on a hill, in the village of Dezize-lès-Maranges in Burgundy , this tiny 2.70 hectare estate is the fruit of rare human encounters, hard work and a lucky star. Working the vines involves major respect for the plant, the land and the fauna. Thus, the entire estate is managed using organic farming supplemented by biodynamic preparations. The reds, themselves, are placed in vats for their fermentation. Once this is finished, they are put into barrels by gravity . For white wines as for red wines, no new barrels are used. Not wishing to denature its wines or betray their terroirs, no oenological yeast is introduced, no oenological product is used except small doses of sulfur to protect the wine from possible bacteria…
